Vivian Peralta Mesa
Licensed Couples and Family Therapist
Vivian Peralta Mesa is a licensed couples and family therapist in North Carolina, South Carolina and Washington State, having over 24 years of experience working with children, individuals, couples and families.
Vivian is bilingual and provides therapy in both English and Spanish. She strives to create a warm and comfortable space where clients can feel relaxed and safe enough to talk to her about their problems.
From a young age, Vivian has felt a deep-rooted desire to help others, a commitment that has continued from her early school years into her accomplished career. Vivian has applied her skills in numerous settings, including children's psychiatric hospital, emergency rooms, county jails, community mental health centers and as a school-based therapist in elementary and middle schools.
Currently in private practice, her focus is on assisting adults who are dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues and recovery from toxic relationships, with a particular emphasis on empowering women.
Vivian describes her practice as holistic. Rather than just looking at symptoms, Vivian views a person’s wellness as a whole, taking into account the physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual factors of their life experience. Vivian is passionate about acceptance and strongly believes that all people are equal and able to connect through the virtue of their shared humanity.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Vivian currently resides in Washington State with her family. Her extensive background enriches her practice, adding a wealth of experience and cultural diversity to her empathetic and compassionate approach to therapy.

When not in the counseling office, Vivian loves to go to yoga classes, hiking, and ballroom dancing.
